Roux Fund
The Roux Fund specifically supports basic cardiovascular research in Switzerland and resides under the patronage of the Swiss Society of Cardiology and the Swiss Heart Foundation.
Roux Fund
The Roux Fund was founded with the legacy of Roland Roux. He stipulated that it should be used solely to fund basic cardiovascular research. We are very grateful for his generous contribution to furthering cardiovascular science in Switzerland and will be putting out three calls for up to CHF 500’000 each over the next years.
Application and Deadlines
- The deadline for submission of a pre-proposal (letter of interest) is 15 June, 5:00 PM, on swissheart.ccgranttracker.com.
- Upon evaluation lead applicants of selected pre-proposals will be invited to submit a full application by 30 September, 5:00 PM.
- The application must be submitted in English.
Eligibility
- Research project deals exclusively with basic cardiovascular research.
- Co-applicants and Collaborators agree to their inclusion in the application electronically.
- The Lead applicant can only submit one application per call.
- Personnel costs are budgeted according to the guidelines of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF).
- Neither Lead- nor Co-applicants claim personnel costs for themselves.
- Institutional overheads must be included in the submitted budgets.
Grant
- Call for basic cardiovascular research projects.
- Multicentre projects are encouraged.
- The Roux Fund can support a basic research project with up to CHF 500’000.
- The grant generally covers a period of up to three years and will be paid in at least three installments linked to pre-defined milestones.
