Albrecht von Haller Young Investigator Award
The Albrecht von Haller Young Investigator Award is awarded annually to an innovative project of a young investigator in the amount of 25’000 Swiss Francs as well as to three outstanding doctoral theses in the amount of 2’000 Swiss Francs each.
Albrecht von Haller Young Investigator Award
The Albrecht von Haller Young Investigator Award is broad in scope covering cardiovascular research and interdisciplinary projects or dissertations in the humanities and arts. It serves to foster academic progress of young scientists or physicians and/or to improve health outcomes of patients. This award is conferred by the Swiss Heart Foundation thanks to an unrestricted grant from Boehringer Ingelheim (Switzerland).
Application and Deadline
- Yearly deadline for submissions is 31 May, 5:00 PM, on swissheart.ccgranttracker.com.
- Projects submitted to the Swiss Heart Foundation for a research grant can be simultaneously submitted to this call for consideration.
- The application must be submitted in English.
Eligibility
- The age limit is 35 years at time of application.
- Project
- The project may be a well-documented concept or supportive of a well-advanced project.
- Dissertation
- The dissertation (academic thesis) has to have been accepted in German, French, Italian or English by a Swiss university in the past two years. Dissertations that also have been published in a scientific journal would be given preference.
Grant
- Yearly award for an innovative project in the amount of 25’000 Swiss Francs.
- Yearly award for three outstanding doctoral theses in the amount of 2’000 Swiss Francs each.
